Getting started

Sign up, onboard your clinic, invite your team.

8
How do I sign up for MediSero+?
Go to app.medisero.in/signup, enter your phone number, verify the OTP, then complete a two-page onboarding (clinic name, specialty, role). The first 14 days are free, no card required. After the trial, your workspace stays read-only for 30 days unless you subscribe — nothing is deleted.
Do I need to install anything?
For doctors: install MediSero+ Doctor from the App Store / Play Store (iOS 14+, Android 9+). For Front Desk and admins: any modern browser works (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox). For patients: the patient app is optional — they can also use the web at app.medisero.in to book and view records.
How do I onboard my Front Desk staff?
In the doctor app, open Settings · Staff · Invite. Share the 6-character workspace join code or the invite link via WhatsApp / email. They sign up as a Front Desk role and land in your clinic with view-only or full permissions (you decide per-staff at invite time and can change later).
Can I import patients from my old system?
Yes. CSV import is supported on every plan from Settings · Data · Import. We auto-map columns (name, phone, DOB, allergies, problem list, current Rx) and de-duplicate against existing records by phone. For larger imports (10k+ patients) or non-CSV formats (Practo, Lybrate, custom Excel), email support@medisero.com with a sample and we handle it in 1–2 working days.
How long does setup take before I can see my first patient?
Most doctors are seeing patients in under 10 minutes. The two-page onboarding takes ~90 seconds; templates load with sensible defaults; the first patient register is one tap. KYC verification (required for e-prescribe) can happen later — it doesn't block consults or note-taking.
Can I try MediSero+ before paying anything?
Yes — 14-day free trial, no credit card required. You get the full Solo or Clinic plan during the trial, including unlimited dictations, e-prescribe, Clio AI, and patient app. After 14 days, choose a paid plan or let the workspace go read-only for 30 days (no data loss).
What devices and OS versions are supported?
iPhone (iOS 14+), iPad (iPadOS 14+), Android phones / tablets (Android 9+), and any modern desktop browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox — Chromium-based browsers preferred for FD). Internet Explorer is not supported. The Doctor mobile app supports tablets natively with adaptive layouts.
Can I use MediSero+ offline?
Partial offline support: voice recording works offline (transcripts queue and upload when you reconnect), and viewing recently-loaded patient charts works offline. Writing Rx, signing notes, billing, and Clio AI all require connectivity. The app will warn you clearly when an action is blocked offline.

Voice notes

Recording, templates, languages, edit-in-place.

7
How do I record my first voice note?
On the home screen, tap the green microphone FAB · start dictating · tap stop when done. Clio drafts a structured SOAP within 5–15 seconds depending on length. Edit anything inline (just tap the word and type), then tap Save to attach it to the visit. Your first 10 dictations are free regardless of plan.
Which languages does dictation support?
Currently English (incl. Indian English), Hindi, and code-mixed Hindi-English. Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Kannada, and Malayalam are in beta — toggle them on from Settings · Voice. The model auto-detects code-switching mid-sentence; medication names and numerics are preserved verbatim regardless of language.
Can I create a custom transcript template?
Yes. Settings · Voice · Templates · New. Define section headings (e.g. Chief Complaint, HPI, MSE, Plan) and Clio drafts into your structure. You can have a different template per visit type — General, Follow-up, Procedure, Therapy, Pre-op — and the right one auto-loads based on the visit type you set at check-in.
What if a transcript has the wrong word?
Tap the word and type the correction — it edits in place, no re-recording. Your corrections train Clio to your accent and terminology over time (locally, within your clinic, never cross-clinic). For longer fixes, hold the dictate button on a section to re-record just that segment without losing the rest.
How long can a single dictation be?
Up to 30 minutes per recording — long enough for a psychotherapy session or a complex new-patient consult. For longer visits, you can stop and start a new recording mid-visit; both will attach to the same visit and Clio merges them into one structured note on save.
Where are recordings stored, and for how long?
Audio is stored encrypted (AES-256) in your region (AWS Mumbai for India). By default, audio is auto-deleted 14 days after the transcript is signed; the structured note stays forever. You can override the retention from Settings · Voice · Audio retention (range: 7 days to indefinite).
Can I dictate during the consult or only after?
Both. During-consult: tap the mic and dictate as the patient talks — Clio captures everything and lets you review at the end. After-consult: most doctors prefer this for privacy — close the door, dictate the visit summary in 60–90 seconds, sign. Either way, the doctor app supports background recording so you can switch screens.

Prescriptions

Smart Rx, e-prescribe rails, drug DB, controlled scripts.

8
How do I write my first prescription?
From a visit screen, tap the orange Rx FAB · search a drug or paste a brand name · Clio fills strength, route, frequency, and duration with sensible defaults from the patient's history and your preferred protocols · review · tap Sign. Your signed Rx generates a PDF, lands on the patient's phone instantly, and (if linked) auto-pushes to their pharmacy.
Can MediSero+ e-prescribe via ABDM?
Yes — ABDM e-prescribe is supported on the Solo and Clinic plans for India. Link your ABHA / HPR ID once from Settings · Compliance · ABDM. Every signed Rx auto-pushes to ABDM-connected pharmacies that the patient chooses, and the patient gets it in their ABHA wallet within seconds.
How does the drug interaction check work?
Every Rx is cross-checked against the patient's active medication list, flagged allergies, problem list, and recent labs (renal/hepatic). Clio surfaces high-severity interactions inline (red badge) with the mechanism and a suggested mitigation. You override with a one-tap rationale that gets logged for audit.
Can I send Rx to a specific pharmacy?
Yes. On the Rx review screen, tap "Route to pharmacy" · pick from your linked network or paste a phone / email. The patient still gets a copy on their phone. For pharmacies inside your workspace (multi-location clinics), the Rx lands directly in their dispense queue for one-tap fulfillment.
Does MediSero+ handle controlled substances?
Yes, with extra audit. Schedule II/III/IV drugs (NDPS in India) are flagged at the point of writing. The Rx requires a re-auth (PIN or biometric) before signing. Refill cadence guards prevent early refills. Every controlled-substance Rx is logged with timestamp, rationale, and audit trail exportable for inspection.
How do refills work?
Two ways. (1) Patient-initiated: from the patient app, tap an active medication · Request refill — lands in your inbox for one-tap approve / edit / deny. (2) Doctor-initiated: open any past Rx · Refill — pre-fills the same Rx with today's date, you adjust if needed and sign. Refill cadence is auto-checked against the original prescribed duration.
Can I write an Rx in the patient's preferred language?
Yes. The Rx PDF auto-generates in the patient's set language (English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, etc.) — drug names stay generic + brand in English (medical-safety standard) but instructions, frequency, and warnings translate. The patient sees it in their language, the pharmacist sees both.
How do I prescribe a taper schedule or complex dosing?
Use the Schedule block on the Rx editor. Add multiple steps, each with its own strength × frequency × duration (e.g. 40mg OD × 5d, then 20mg OD × 5d, then 10mg OD × 5d, then stop). The patient sees the full taper as one card in their meds list with auto-advancing dose reminders.

Queue & booking

Walk-ins, slots, no-show handling, en-route, blocks.

7
How do walk-ins and bookings combine in one queue?
Bookings hold their slot. Walk-ins get a token. The queue auto-merges them in arrival order with a slot-based override — your 10:30 booked patient is still seen at 10:30 even if a walk-in arrived at 10:25. The Front Desk and you both see the same merged list, live, with clear "Booked" / "Walk-in" badges.
How is "en-route" detected?
When a patient enables location, MediSero+ estimates their ETA every 60 seconds while they're within 5 km of the clinic. Patients past their slot but en-route get a soft "arriving in 8 min" pill — your queue auto-inserts them ahead of the next walk-in if their ETA fits the gap, so on-time patients aren't penalised.
What happens if a patient is a no-show?
After 2 hours past the booked slot with no check-in or en-route ping, the system marks the visit as no-show and frees the slot. You can revert a no-show within 24 hours from the visit detail screen — handy when someone genuinely got delayed by an emergency. No-show counts feed into the patient's reliability score (visible only to you).
Can patients book without an account?
Yes — the public booking widget at app.medisero.in/book/{your-clinic} accepts phone-only booking. The patient gets an SMS confirmation; on first arrival, they're asked to set a 4-digit PIN to claim ownership of their record. If they later install the patient app, their full history is already there, no re-onboarding.
Can I block off lunch, breaks, or unavailable hours?
Yes. Settings · Schedule · Add block. You can set recurring blocks (lunch every weekday 1–2pm) or one-off blocks (out for a CME day). Blocked slots don't appear in the public booking widget. Front Desk sees a clear "Doctor unavailable" badge during blocks.
How do appointment reminders work?
By default: 24-hour SMS reminder + 1-hour app-push reminder. Configurable per-clinic from Settings · Notifications · Reminders (range: turn off, or up to 4 reminders at custom intervals). Patients can also opt into WhatsApp reminders if you have the WhatsApp Business integration enabled.
Can I limit how far out patients can book?
Yes. Settings · Schedule · Booking horizon. Default is 30 days; you can shorten to as low as 1 day or extend to 90 days. Useful for clinics that prefer same-week-only bookings to reduce no-shows, or for specialties with rolling waitlists.

Front Desk

Check-in, dispense, billing, phone booking, permissions.

6
What can a Front Desk user do — and not do?
FD can: check patients in, manage the queue, write phone bookings, take payments, dispense Rx, send notifications, manage referrals, and view non-clinical patient info (name, phone, allergies if shared). FD cannot: sign Rx, edit clinical notes, view past clinical history beyond what you explicitly share, or change billing rates. Permissions are configurable per-FD from Settings · Staff.
How does FD billing line items work?
When a patient is checked in, a draft invoice is created with the consult fee. As the doctor adds Rx items, the FD billing screen shows them as separate line items (consult + each medicine). FD finalises payment, splits across methods if needed (cash + UPI, etc.), prints / shares the invoice via WhatsApp / SMS / email.
Can FD take phone bookings?
Yes. From the FD home screen, tap "Phone booking" · search by phone (auto-fills if returning patient) · pick a slot · confirm. A booking SMS goes out instantly. Repeat patient bookings take ~15 seconds; new patient bookings take ~45 seconds (name + phone + DOB + reason for visit).
How do I invite multiple FD users?
Settings · Staff · Invite — generate as many invites as you need. Each FD gets their own login (their own phone number) and audit trail. Per-FD permissions: full / billing-only / queue-only / view-only. The first FD seat is free on every plan; additional seats are ₹500/month each.
Can FD see clinical notes?
No, by default. Clinical notes (SOAP, transcripts, MSE) are doctor-only. FD sees only the visit metadata: date, doctor, type (general / follow-up / procedure), check-in/out times, and billing items. You can override per-patient or per-staff if needed (e.g. a senior nurse who triages).
How does dispense work for FD in a pharmacy clinic?
Doctor signs Rx · it appears in FD's dispense queue · FD picks the medicines (with auto stock-deduction), confirms strength + quantity match the Rx, takes payment, prints a dispensing label. If a strength isn't in stock, FD can substitute with the doctor's pre-approved alternatives or ping the doctor inline for approval.

Clio AI

Insights, RAG citations, drug research, accuracy, offline.

7
What exactly is Clio?
Clio is the AI clinical assistant inside every MediSero+ screen. It reads your clinic's real-time state (queue, transcripts, Rx, labs) and surfaces insights, drafts, and answers specific to the patient in front of you — with citations to your past visits, always.
What are RAG citations?
When Clio answers a clinical question, it retrieves similar past visits from your clinic and shows them as citations under the answer. Tap any citation to open the source visit, lab, or Rx. This keeps answers grounded in your actual record — no hallucinations, no general internet sources, just your clinic.
Does Clio see data from other clinics?
No. Each clinic's data is isolated by workspace. Clio retrieval is namespaced to the workspace you're logged into — it literally cannot see another clinic's records. Cross-clinic learning (for model improvements) requires explicit opt-in and is anonymised + de-identified before any training.
Can I turn Clio off?
Yes — entirely or per-screen. Settings · Clio AI lets you flip a master switch and mute individual capabilities (stock nudges, queue intelligence, drug research, follow-up compliance, suggested differentials). Some doctors run Clio hot for the first month then dial back; others keep it on permanently. No data difference either way.
How accurate is Clio? Has it been validated?
On internal benchmarks (1,200+ India / SE-Asia primary-care cases), Clio's differential lists hit the correct diagnosis in the top-3 in 89% of cases. Drug-interaction flags hit 96% recall vs ground truth. We publish quarterly accuracy reports at /research. Clio is a copilot, not a replacement — every output is a draft you sign.
What happens if Clio gives a wrong answer?
Three things. (1) You override — your edits feed back as training signal locally. (2) You can flag it via the thumbs-down on any Clio output; flagged outputs are reviewed by our clinical safety team within 48 hours. (3) Clio outputs are always drafts — you sign — so a wrong draft never becomes a clinical action without your explicit review.
Does Clio work offline?
No — Clio requires connectivity for retrieval and reasoning. The doctor app does cache the last 50 patient charts for offline viewing, but Clio drafts, suggestions, and chat answers all require an active connection. We're working on an on-device fallback for basic differentials, ETA H2 2026.

Multi-clinic

Locations, peers, specialty packs, workspace switching.

6
How do I add a second clinic location?
Solo plan: one clinic per account. Clinic plan: up to 5 locations under one workspace; Enterprise plan: unlimited. From Settings · Workspace · Add location, set the new address, hours, and assign doctors / FD. The doctor app shows a workspace switcher in the top bar — same login, switch any time, both stay in sync.
How do peer doctors share patient access?
When you refer a patient internally, the receiving doctor gets a structured snapshot (vitals, current Rx, recent labs, problem list, your SOAP) — read-only by default. Once they accept the referral, they get write access to that patient for the next 30 days unless you extend. After 30 days, access reverts to read-only of the snapshot.
Can different doctors run different specialty packs?
Yes. Each doctor in a multi-clinic workspace can run their own specialty pack — paeds for the paediatrician, cardio for the cardiologist, GP for the family physician. Same patient can be seen by all of them, and each sees the right scaffolding for their specialty. The pack only affects templates, Rx defaults, and Clio prompts — never data.
How does workspace switching work?
Tap the clinic name in the top bar of the doctor app · pick the workspace · switch. All views (queue, patients, calendar) re-scope to that workspace instantly. Notifications respect your active workspace by default but you can opt into cross-workspace notifications from Settings · Notifications.
How does billing work across multiple locations?
One subscription for the whole workspace covers all locations under it (Clinic plan: up to 5 locations; Enterprise: unlimited). Each location can configure its own consult fees, currencies, and invoice templates. Revenue reporting can be filtered per-location or rolled up across the workspace.
Can I have a different patient-facing brand per location?
On Enterprise plans, yes — custom domain, logo, colour palette, and SMS sender ID per location. Patient app shows your branding instead of MediSero+ default. On Solo and Clinic plans, the patient sees "MediSero+" branding with your clinic name and logo on top.

Privacy & security

Storage, encryption, audit logs, exports, 2FA.

7
Where is my data stored?
In AWS Mumbai (ap-south-1) by default. We comply with the DPDP Act 2023 and IT Act / Rules. Data never leaves the region without your explicit consent. Enterprise plans can request a different region (Singapore, Frankfurt) for cross-border practices.
How is patient data encrypted?
TLS 1.3 in transit, AES-256-GCM at rest. Database backups are encrypted with rotating keys held in AWS KMS. Audio recordings get a separate encryption key per workspace. Audit logs capture every read / write with user + timestamp + record ID — exportable any time from Settings · Compliance.
How do I export all my patient data?
Settings · Data · Export. You get a ZIP within 24 hours containing CSVs of patients, visits, Rx, labs + a JSON of the full graph. Per the DPDP Act 2023, this is your right — no questions asked, no fee, no rate limits. You can also export a single patient on demand from their profile (instant).
How do I delete my account and all data?
Settings · Account · Delete workspace. We immediately revoke access, mark data for deletion, and permanently wipe within 30 days (the window allows you to recover if you change your mind). Audit logs of the deletion are kept for 7 years per regulatory requirements but contain no PHI.
What does the audit log capture?
Every access to a patient record: who (user ID), when (timestamp), what (record + field), how (read / write / export / share). Available from Settings · Compliance · Audit log; filterable by user, patient, date range. Tamper-evident: each entry is hash-chained, so any modification is detectable.
Is two-factor authentication available?
Yes — TOTP (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password) is supported on every plan. Enterprise plans get SMS OTP fallback and SSO via SAML / OIDC. We require 2FA for any admin operation (delete workspace, change billing, export) regardless of your account-level setting.
Are you HIPAA / GDPR / DPDP compliant?
DPDP Act 2023 (India): yes, by default. HIPAA (US): yes — we sign BAAs on Clinic and Enterprise plans for India-based US-licensed clinicians. GDPR (EU): yes — data residency in EU available on Enterprise. Our compliance posture, BAA template, and DPA are at /compliance (coming soon).

Billing & pricing

Plans, payment methods, refunds, invoices, annual.

6
How much does MediSero+ cost?
Solo: ₹1,500/month for the first year (intro), ₹3,000/month from year 2. Clinic (multi-doctor / multi-location): ₹6,999/month flat. Front Desk seats: ₹500/month each, first one free. 14-day free trial, no card. See /pricing for the full plan comparison.
What payment methods are supported?
UPI, all major credit / debit cards, NetBanking, and Razorpay subscriptions. Annual plans get a 16% discount (paid upfront). For Enterprise (50+ doctors), we issue GST-compliant invoices and accept NEFT / RTGS / wire transfer.
Can I downgrade or cancel any time?
Yes — both. Cancel from Settings · Billing · Cancel. You keep access until the end of the current billing cycle. Downgrade plans take effect at the next renewal — pro-rated where applicable. We don't do contracts; you can leave any time and your data exports work even on a cancelled account for 30 days.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes — full refund within the first 30 days of a paid subscription, no questions asked. After 30 days, refunds are pro-rated for the unused portion of an annual plan. Monthly subscriptions cancelled after 30 days don't get refunded but you keep access until cycle-end.
Can I get GST-compliant invoices?
Yes — every paid receipt is a GST-compliant invoice with your clinic's GSTIN, our GSTIN, HSN code, and tax breakdown. Settings · Billing · Invoice details to add your GSTIN. Past invoices are downloadable from the same screen as PDF.
Is annual cheaper than monthly?
Yes — annual is 16% cheaper than monthly (so 12 months for the price of ~10). Annual is paid upfront, monthly is on a rolling subscription. Both auto-renew unless cancelled. You can switch between them at the next renewal.
